Camp Swoosh

CAMP Swoosh - will now run in 2020!

Camp Swoosh will begin on July 6 and run through the week of August 21.

Camp Swoosh is licensed through the state of Michigan as a summer day camp and is for campers ages 5 to 12. Due to new guidelines set forth by the state of Michigan the following precautions and changes have been put in place in order to keep campers and staff safe:

• Seven weekly camps - choose only the weeks that work for you!
• Max capacity of 20 campers per week due to the State of Michigan guidelines
• Campers will be split into two groups based on age - campers may request to be placed with friends or family
• Weekly field trips have been canceled for 2020 due to State of Michigan guidelines
• Daily symptom/temperature checks are required for staff and campers
• Cloth face coverings or masks are mandatory for camp staff
• Cloth face coverings or masks are encouraged but not required for campers
• Social distancing practices are enforced
• More frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and toys
• Camps led by background checked and CPR/First Aid/AED/Water Safety certified staff

Registration

Registration will take place online only on the following schedule:

• June 22 - Kirksey Recreation Center Annual Members
• June 23 - Livonia Residents
• June 25 - Non-Residents

Memberships are not able to be purchased until the Kirksey Recreation Center has reopened. The member discount will be applied retroactively if an annual membership is purchased after registering for camp.

*Materials fee is payable one time, good for the entire summer, due at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
