Housing Overview

Silver Village is a retirement community of 108 garden-style apartments which serve Livonia's low and moderate-income senior citizens. Silver Village is ideally located near the municipal civic center and 49 acres of city parkland. Silver Village residents enjoy many accessible social and recreational activities. The centrally located, air-conditioned building has a large meeting room, a fully equipped kitchen, and laundry facilities. Many social activities take place in the Silver Village "people place".

There are 36 one-bedroom apartments (approximately 640 square feet) and 72 two-bedroom apartments (approximately 728 square feet).

• 62 and older or 55 with a disability
• Livonia residency is preferred
• Must be within the income limit

income Limitations

Income limitations are as follows:

• $44,800 single person per year (subject to change)
• $51,200 couple per year (subject to change)

Rental Cost

New rental rates are effective as of September 1, 2020, and rates exclude gas and electric:

• One bedroom: $470
• Two-bedroom: $525
