New Year's Eve Party

Get your family and friends together for a New Year's Celebration at the Kirksey Recreation Center 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31! The Rec will be open only to those who sign up for the New Year's Eve Party. Activities include swimming, making arts and crafts, climbing on our wall, jumping in bounce houses, partying with our balloon drop, and more! Food is included with the ticket price. We will have pizza, chips, salad, and a sweet treat. Lemonade will be provided along with water! Tickets are required for all participants ages 2+ for $10 for members, $13 for Livonia residents, and $20 for non-residents and are available through our online portal.

Rec Center Readers Book Club

In the spirit of “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society,” each attendee of this week's Rec Center Readers Book Club will read a book of their own choosing and present it to the group 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. The book may be gifted to the next reader if the presenter wishes.

This meeting is free to members of The Rec, $3 for residents, and $5 for non-residents.

North Pole Workshop

Visit the Kirksey Recreation Center Workshop with your children on Dec. 23 and have them create handmade gifts for friends and family! You can choose from several items or select up to ten crafts! Registration is $23 for residents and $30 for non-residents for each event.

Monday, Dec. 23, children and parents can join us 3-5 p.m. A guardian must be present, but they do not need to buy a ticket.

New exterior wall for Livonia Senior Wellness Center is up

As the exterior walls for the new Livonia Senior Wellness Center continue to rise along the east side of the Kirksey Recreation Center, the exterior walls for the new West Gym are expected to be built over the next few weeks.

The Main Gyms will close in 2025 once the new West Gym is complete. The full project is expected to be completed in December 2025. You can visit LivoniaBuilt.org to see the specific timeline for each phase. For more details, check out our Frequently Asked Questions.
