Celani Play Area Grand Opening Event Planned for May 6

Mark your calendars! You’re invited to join Livonia Parks and Recreation for the grand opening of the Ben Celani Play Area 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Bicentennial Park.

This will be an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather and bring your families to enjoy the official opening of the new play area along Seven Mile Road in the southeast portion of the park.

New Rec Center Readers Book Club to host author, Holocaust survivor

March is Reading Month and we want you to join us for our new Rec Center Readers Book Club kickoff event! At 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, our Rec Center Readers will welcome Michigan author Lori Kilsman Ellis and a Holocaust survivor to the Kirksey Recreation Center to discuss her book, “4,456 Miles: A Survivor’s Search for Closure.” It’s sure to be a unique discussion to kick off the new book club.
