Family Food Truck Rally Returns for Double Dose of Food, Music, Fun

Last year's inaugural Family Food Truck Rally was such a hit that we're bringing it back for TWO dates. Stop by the Kirksey Recreation Center's East Lawn from 4-8 p.m. Saturdays, July 23 and Aug. 20, to enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music, face painting and henna tattoos, water slide bounce house, arts and crafts, lawn games and more! The food trucks, face painting and tattoos have a separate cost, but everything else is free!

This all-ages drop-in event will feature tunes from Detroit Soul Revue July 23 and The Pulse Aug. 20.

Farm Stand Brings Fresh Produce to The Rec's Lobby Thursday

Have you been getting your fresh produce fix? Stop by Healthy Livonia’s Farm Stand at the Kirksey Recreation Center to enjoy some locally grown produce from nearby MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center.

Stop by The Rec’s lobby 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays, July 21; Aug. 11, 25; Sept. 8, 22; Oct. 6 and 20.

Summer Fun Cycle Series Mixes Partying, Cycling, Fitness

Stop by the Kirksey Recreation Center for our Summer Fun Cycle Series with four drop-in dates filled with 50 minutes of fun led by instructor Deb Vinitski. Membership and Livonia residency are not required, although they determine different prices per each class.

7 p.m. Thu. July 21 – Summer Beach Party Ride (beach attire and sunglasses encouraged for this outdoor ride!)
7 p.m. Tue. July 26 – Totally ‘80s Ride (‘80s apparel, ‘80s music)
7 p.m. Thu. Aug. 4 – Glow Out Cycle (no lights, all glow sticks and high-energy tunes)
7 p.m. Tue. Aug. 9 – Pink Out Ride (wear pink, listen to P!nk)
