The City of Livonia is adding a third round to the Bulk Leaf Pickup program. The third round will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The crew will follow the same schedule as with the first two rounds. Signs WILL NOT be posted in sections. Leaves MUST be in the street by Wednesday, Dec. 1 to ensure pickup regardless of your section. Leaves placed in the street after Dec. 1 are NOT guaranteed to be picked up. Any remaining leaves should be mulched or bagged for yard waste collection.
GFL has extended yard waste pick up an additional week. Yard waste collection will now end on trash days the week of Dec. 13. Yard waste pick up will end completely on Friday, Dec. 17. As a reminder, be sure to place leaves and other yard waste in garbage cans marked with a yard waste sticker or in paper compost bags. Yard waste containers should be separated from regular trash containers. Leaves placed in plastic bags cannot be picked up.
