Harvest Festival and Craft Fair Headed to Greenmead This Weekend

Join us for our inaugural Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 9-10, at Greenmead Historical Park.

The Simmons-Hill Farm area of the park will be transformed into a craft show with live acoustic music, food trucks, beer, seltzer, cider, doughnuts, ice cream, a barbecue contest, watermelon-eating contest, kickball, a mobile escape room, petting farm (Sunday only), a Kids Zone with games, pumpkin painting, story time, sack races and more! Admission is free, but some activities do have a fee.

Haunted Barn Returns to Wilson Barn's Pumpkin Fest Saturday

Join us at The Wilson Barn's Pumpkin Fest from noon-6 p.m. Saturdays/Sundays, Oct. 9-24, for our Haunted Barn Stroll. Get spooked for just $1 (paid at the door) and then enjoy Pumpkin Fest when you’re done. All ages are welcome at the Haunted Barn. The experience can be adjusted for ages with different scare preferences.

Even if you're not partaking in the Haunted Barn, enjoy the rest of Pumpkin Fest anytime 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday-Sunday Oct. 1-30 for some family fun. Pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, straw bales, apples, caramel apples and more will be for sale in addition to hayrides and the popular scarecrows for photo opportunities! Pony rides, a petting zoo and bounce house will also be available 2-5 p.m. Fridays and noon-6 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays. Cider, doughnuts, hot chocolate, hot spiced cider and the Haunted Barn Stroll ($1 admission) will be available noon-6 p.m. Saturdays/Sundays. Admission is free, but some activities do have a fee. Learn to Build Catapults at Oct. 16 Snapology Workshop

Build, explore and create an “Angry Birds” adventure at our next Snapology brick-building workshop while learning about the physics behind the catapults, levers and slingshots that are used to make these birds fly! Ages 5-10 are invited to join the fun from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.
