APPEAL CASE NO. 2021-05-18 (Rescheduled from August 10, 2021): Ken and Melissa Burns, south side of Munger (29991), between Henry Ruff and Middlebelt, seeking to construct an addition onto a detached garage resulting in excess accessory building area.

APPEAL CASE NO. 2021-05-23 (Tabled on June 29, 2021): HFI8, LLC, 25896 Timber Trail, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127, seeking to erect a ground sign with electronic pricing and message center on property located on the north side of Seven Mile (27430) between Inkster and Rensellor, resulting in excess sign area. Electronic message centers are not allowed on nonconforming ground signs.

APPEAL CASE NO. 2021-09-38: NSC Livonia-West, LLC, 30500 Northwestern Hwy., Ste. 525, Farmington Hills, MI  48334, seeking to erect a wall sign while maintaining an existing ground sign on property located on the south side of Eight Mile (31465) between Merriman and Osmus, resulting in excess number of signs. Single tenants within an industrial zone are allowed a ground ‘or’ wall sign, not both.


NOTE: The above case no longer needs a variance under the new Zoning Ordinance


APPEAL CASE NO. 2021-09-39: Dennis, Elaine, Aleta Lockhart, west side of Filmore (18265) between Myron and Irving, seeking to erect an attached garageresulting in deficient south side yard setback and deficient combined side yards.


APPEAL CASE NO. 2021-09-40: Faye Jackson, west side of Haller (15193) between Five Mile and Elsie, seeking to erect a six-foot-tall wood privacy fence flush to front building line on the north side of the property. The privacy fence must stop at the rear line of the home and not be located in the side yard.
