| EARLY LEAF DROP - BULK LEAF PICKUP DELAYEDDue to the very early and heavy leaf drop, scheduled bulk leaf pickup is delayed currently three to four working days. The order of the pickup schedule is being followed. The red scheduling signs are removed from your neighborhood entrance, but the leaf pickup will still be occurring. Leaves may also be disposed of on your regular trash collection day. Place leaves and other yard waste in up to 33 gallon cans marked with a yard waste sticker or paper compost bags. Yard waste containers should be placed out separate from your regular trash and recycling bin. Yard waste collection in containers will continue through the week of December 7th through 11th.
FOLLOWING FINAL LEAF PICKUP AND STREET SWEEPING LEAF CREWS WILL NOT BE RETURNING. PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE TO PLACE LEAVES IN THE STREET AFTER FINAL PICKUP AS NO FURTHER PICKUPS WILL OCCUR. |
| SANDBURG, NOBLE LIBRARY BRANCH HOURS DEC. 1The Livonia Public Library has established new service hours for the Alfred Noble Library, 32901 Plymouth Road, and Carl Sandburg Library, 30100 Seven Mile Road, effective Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009.
Starting on that date, the two branch libraries will be open to the public as follows:
• Alfred Noble Library – Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Carl Sandburg Library – Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
